3 Years: For most moving violations, points typically stay active and on your record for three years from the conviction date before automatic expungement.  In Maryland, most traffic violations (points) stay on your Maryland driving record for three years from the conviction date, but serious offenses like DUI/DWI can remain much longer or permanently, affecting insurance and CDLs

  • 10 Years: If you’ve been revoked or have multiple suspensions for driver safety offenses.
